Fallin’ for this Family’s Photoshoot

There is nothing quite like Kansas City in the fall. Even when we’re in the second week of November and the temperatures are still in 70s… You simply cannot beat the colors produced by all the trees. This family had the most vibrant backgrounds showcasing those gorgeous autumn colors

Not only were the kids the cutest I’ve ever seen, their littler personalities shine through in every photo. I’ll forever remember this photoshoot as the one where we nailed the fall colors and also as the photoshoot where the kids called me “picklepants.” No doubt that’s a new one, but it was so easy to get genuine giggles and smiles out of these two!

It was a quick fall mini photoshoot, but we captured some amazing candids, some holiday card contenders, and also some really goofy photos.

Ok but I have to also mention the beauty of these kids. The little girl has a soft smile I can only dream of pulling off…

I cannot get over how natural, raw, and candid a lot of these moments were. She had placed those flowers over her ear herself. And that “smize” ! Now to one of my favorite portraits of the little boy… where he would tell a joke and immediately start laughing.

All in all, the pure beauty of these photos make this one of my favorite photoshoots to date. The family was wonderful, kind, and trusting of my silly prompts. I am quite literally obsessed with how the photos turned out and I will never get over the gorgeous colors
